"Having overseen thousands of hair loss consultations, I’ve found finasteride to be one of the most effective and reliable treatments for male pattern hair loss."
Our clinical team and pharmacy is UK-based and fully registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
How does finasteride work?
Finasteride works by lowering levels of a hormone called DHT, which causes hair follicles to shrink. By reducing DHT, it helps slow down hair loss and allows thicker, stronger hair to grow back over time.
How long does finasteride take to work?
Finasteride starts working straight away, but visible results take time. Most men notice reduced hair shedding after around 3 months, with thicker, fuller hair typically appearing after 6 to 12 months of consistent use.
Is finasteride right for everyone?
Finasteride is suitable for most men with male pattern hair loss, but it isn’t right for everyone. It’s only for adult men, and it shouldn’t be used by women or anyone under 18. Before prescribing, our clinicians review your health and medication history to make sure it’s safe and suitable for you.
